SciTrek Inc is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability or technology. Our mission is to remove barriers that stand between students and the tools they need to learn. A website that some people cannot use would work against that mission, so we treat accessibility as part of the work rather than an afterthought.

What we are working toward

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We do not claim that every page fully meets that standard today. Accessibility is ongoing work, and parts of this site are built on third-party software we do not fully control — including the checkout, which is hosted and maintained by Shopify.

Steps we have taken

Descriptive alternative text on images that carry meaning, and empty alternative text on images that are purely decorative, so screen readers are not cluttered with noise.
Text and background colors chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios for readability.
Headings, lists, and landmarks marked up semantically, so the page can be navigated by structure rather than by sight alone.
Keyboard access to navigation, forms, and buttons, with visible focus indicators.
Form fields with associated labels rather than placeholder text alone.
Text that can be resized and zoomed without content being cut off or overlapping.
Motion and animation kept minimal, and reduced further for visitors whose devices request reduced motion.
